Allyson founded Language Facilitation Ltd (LF Ltd) in 2011. A graduate of E.S.I.T. (Université de Paris III-Sorbonne Nouvelle), one of the première translations schools in Europe, Allyson lived and worked as a translator in France and Italy for more than 20 years before returning to New Zealand and launching LF Ltd.
Allyson's approach to translation is based on her experience of multiculturalism at a young age. She strongly believes above all that the target text must read well and that the most effective translations are the result of a thorough understanding of the source and target cultures – only then can the right impact and message be achieved.
Allyson's specialist fields include PR, marketing, advertising, food, wine, art, graphics, tourism, and the stone industry. She also teaches Italian to English translation at E.S.I.T. and gives language lessons online.
At the top of the list of Allyson's many passions are food, wine, art and tango.
